Which software can handle tasks such as piping design, generation of material lists, creation of pipe axonometric drawings, and P&ID diagrams? Should the flow resistance of a piping system be calculated through self-written programming or using software? PD-soft should be used for efficient pipeline design, including the creation of pipeline layout diagrams and the calculation of the quantities of various pipe fittings~~ However, I haven’t used this software yet; I’ve only learned about it from conversations~~~
At present, calculation and graphic output are carried out by different software. There are mainly two types: simulation and 3D modeling.
So, what software is used for calculation and generating diagrams? :)
Have you used PDMS software before?:)
It’s used quite often in daily life. PDMS has significant advantages in modeling, generating drawings, and compiling material statistics. It is also quite commonly used these days.
Currently, for pipeline design, I use Excel to calculate the list of pipeline materials, MATLAB to compute the flow resistance of the pipeline systems, and then CAD to create pipeline layout diagrams as well as VISO to produce axonometric drawings. It’s quite cumbersome, and I’m looking for a software that can handle all these tasks at once. I’ve recently heard that PDMS can be used for 3D modeling and generating drawings; I’ve never used it before, so I’m not sure if it can solve my problems. I look forward to your advice!
For calculations, other software is needed; the other three PDMS options are more than sufficient, but it depends on each company’s requirements, as their prices are quite high.
So which version of the software are you using? Are there any recommended tutorials? I’d like to learn it*; thank you!
In terms of the software used for modeling, there are many options available, each suitable for different situations such as the project timeline and level of complexity. CADworx can also be used for small to medium-sized projects; tutorials are readily available online.
