Features and Applications of Submersible Pumps Submersible pumps are a type of pump that is widely used these days. Although many people use them, not many truly understand them. Knowing the assembly characteristics and application areas of submersible pumps helps to make better use of them. To assemble a submersible pump, first install the bearings in the bearing housings and bearing seats, and fit the felt rings on bearing end caps A and C as well as on the bearing housings. Then, install bearing end caps B and C on the bearing housing and tighten them with bolts. Insert the bearing housing with the installed bearing onto the shaft, tighten the round nut, and fasten bearing end cover A to the bearing housing. Insert the shaft into the bearing housing, secure it with bolts, tighten the adjustment screws, and mount the bearing on the support bracket; place the water seal in the appropriate position around the lower bearing. Next, the coupling pipe is fixed to the bearing housing; a pump cover is installed at the lower part of the coupling pipe, and an impeller is placed at the lower end of the shaft and tightened. Then, the front cover of the pump body is installed and secured with bolts. The gap between the impeller and the front cover is adjusted using the adjustment screws located at the bearing housing, and once adjusted, it is tightened further with nuts and bolts. Mount the motor support on the bearing housing and secure it with bolts. Attach the coupling component to the upper end of the shaft, and fasten the motor coupling to the motor shaft using screws. Install the motor on the motor support and secure it with bolts and nuts. Submersible pumps are generally used to transport liquids that do not contain solid particles or are prone to crystallization. They are widely employed in industries such as chemicals, petroleum, metallurgy, dyes, and pesticides, and their range of applications has been expanding in recent years. Advances in technology have led to the development of submersible pumps with oil seals that provide forced lubrication, resulting in improved sealing performance.
