Are shielded pumps considered niche pumps?

I’m a complete novice when it comes to chemical processing equipment; I’ve now started working at a Wuxi-based manufacturer that produces proprietary brand of shielded pumps. The boss asked me to find out who are the major users of canned pumps, but after visiting a few chemical plants, I felt that canned pumps aren’t used very often there. Are shielded pumps considered niche pumps? I’m not sure if there are any prospects in this field; I’d appreciate it if experts could share some insights.
Just kidding, our factory is full of shielded pumps; aside from the water supply system, there are over thirty of them in total.
It has a wide range of applications; look for manufacturers of process media that are toxic, harmful, and whose products must not leak

It’s possible that the chemical plant I’m looking at actually doesn’t require a shielded pump; I’ll investigate further. Thank you for the advice! The small factory I work at is just starting out, so its scale is naturally very small. But it seems that the few large domestic companies that hold a near-monopoly position (such as Dalian Empire, Haimitek, Nisshiki Seisakusho, Dalian Huanyou, etc.) have not achieved much success either; none of them appear in the top ranks of pump manufacturers nationwide. I wonder if there is still any room for growth for smaller companies
Both shielded pumps and magnetic drive pumps belong to the category of leak-free pumps. Compared with magnetic drive pumps, shielded pumps are used less frequently, but they still have a very promising future. But these days, it’s difficult to survive in the market by focusing solely on one type of pump and starting out with just that type. . . .

It’s too expensive, and the data usage isn’t very high; unless it’s highly toxic, people won’t use it, as it’s too costly and delicate
