We have a gear flow meter with elliptical gears; the original one was from Seiko of Japan. The OVAL was replaced due to damage. The pulse call 4--20mA signal being displayed on the DCS is normal. However, another pulse was generated and sent to the DCS for accumulation, resulting in inaccurate accumulation values by the DCS, which were on the high side. It does not match the on-site cumulative figure. The cumulative pulse is 0.01 L/P, the same as that of the older flowmeters. May I ask which parameters still need to be determined in order to unify them? This is the first time using cumulative pulses. I rarely came into contact with it before. So the concept of a pulse is quite vague. For example, the relationship between pulses and hertz. The influence of pulse width, and so on.
Why is there no reply? How is the cumulative pulse defined in DCS? Doesn’t anyone know? Is it the maximum Hz value of the pulse corresponding to the maximum flow rate? How should it be set up then? For example, if 0.01 L/P corresponds to a maximum flow rate of 800 L/h, then isn’t the maximum pulse frequency 22.2 Hz?
1. Different systems require different parameters for pulse accumulation calculations. CS3000: frequency and range. Central control system: pulse equivalent, time coefficient, unit coefficient, accumulation unit. 2. 0.01 L/P; the maximum flow rate is 800 L/h, which corresponds to 800 L, or 80,000 P. The maximum pulse rate is 22.2 Hz (22.222222…. Hz), which is correct. 3. “The accumulation value in the DCS is inaccurate and too high.” "What is the error? The pulse equivalent is 0.01L/P, which indicates the volume or weight of each pulse. “Unit coefficient.” Wait... Accumulation using a 4-20mA analog signal output is accurate, while accumulation using pulses is inaccurate and inconsistent. It’s probably because the internal parameters of the flow meter haven’t been set correctly. I have used Yokogawa’s electromagnetic flowmeters; settings are required for the remote transmission of pulse signals, as well as for displaying the cumulative values on the instrument itself. The original poster might want to give it some thought.
