I am starting up a hydrogenation unit, and I would like to ask the experts for some advice on what considerations should be taken into account when introducing circulating water to the unit for the first time A very thick cross-line has been installed in front of the boundary zone valve for the circulating water, and it has already been flushed along with the system. Please share any problems you may have encountered during the process of introducing water!
It takes some time for the air to be expelled from the higher points, and for the return water lines to fill with water, especially in the higher heat exchangers
A newly installed unit of ours has just had circulating water introduced. There is one thing to note: it is sufficient to drain and replace the water at the main outlet of the circulating water system for one and a half hours.
Fill with water, release air. Since the water was too dirty, we turned off the pump and heat exchanger, and drained the water from each water inlet; the main issue was that our pipelines were extremely dirty

Safety shoes, grinding wheels, saw blades, cigarette butts~~~~ all of these have appeared. There were also protective covers at both ends of the valves~~~~ Once, those covers remained in place without being removed; eventually they were forced open, creating a hole, but this still restricted the flow rate~~~~
We have encountered this issue during pressure testing for leaks; the protective covers on both sides of the valve were not removed~
