There is currently a stream of natural rubber wastewater with a flow rate of 250 m3/d, a COD value of 10,000 mg/L, a BOD value of 4,500 mg/L, and a sulfate concentration of 2,000 mg/L. It is considered to employ anaerobic acidification at the front end, followed by the addition of lime to the effluent; after precipitation, it then enters the subsequent anaerobic treatment system. Both the anaerobic acidification tank and the subsequent anaerobic treatment system are open-type tanks located in an outdoor environment. Could the hydrogen sulfide produced during anaerobic conditions cause poisoning in operators? ?
Given this risk, it is recommended to seal it or collect the gas.
