This post was last edited by x_xhai on 2015-6-27 at 17:02. I would like to ask whether pipes made of material A420 WPL6 can be used as a replacement for A234 WPB, with the same wall thickness? Are there any temperature and pressure conditions under which replacement is not possible?
Low-temperature materials, as a replacement for normal-temperature materials? I’ve never done it.
Replacing normal-temperature materials with low-temperature ones should be no problem; I can’t find any conditions under which it wouldn’t work
It’s possible, as long as it is used within the temperature range up to A420 WPL6; in addition, the wall thickness calculation must meet the required standards. But it is generally not used this way as it is a waste. At construction sites, materials are substituted for various reasons, and it is somewhat similar to using 16Mn in place of 20 in China; large-scale substitution is not recommended.
