If you ask me that, I can explain in detail that there isn’t really much difference between worm gear reducers and worm-gear reducer sets. However, worm reducers are relatively rough in construction and do not have the same level of precision as worm-gear reducer sets; reducers of the same specification have greater torque than worm-gear reducer sets. Worm-gear reducer sets are mainly made of aluminum alloy, while worm reducers are made of cast iron. The main difference is that worm reducers are more expensive than worm-gear reducer sets – after all, expensive products come at a higher cost.
Similarly, a worm gear and worm must mesh with each other in order to transmit motion and power.
