My previous design firm didn’t lay off employees, but there were few projects available, the commissions were low, and the basic salary wasn’t high either. After joining the environmental protection company, the basic salary was higher, though there were hardly any commissions; however, this basic salary in the environmental protection company is roughly equivalent to the sum of the basic salary and commissions in my design firm during its better times. . Environmental protection companies do not pay much attention to engineering, and the design of projects is also rather irregular. It’s indeed a bit detrimental to development; I know this all too well! It depends on how each person weighs the options. One can focus on environmental protection for now, use their free time to improve themselves by learning skills related to environmental protection, and then return to a design institute in the future!
