Exdiaq II CT6: What does the explosion protection rating of electromagnetic flowmeters mean? Can someone explain it to me?

Exdiaq II CT6: Explosion protection declaration. The Ex mark indicates compliance with explosion protection standards. The explosion protection type is d, meaning intrinsically safe design. For associated devices such as safety barriers, the explosion protection type is intrinsically safe. I don’t know what iaq refers to in the parentheses… Gas category: II C, applicable to areas other than coal mines. Temperature group: T6, meaning the surface temperature of the instrument does not exceed 85 degrees℃

This phrasing is a bit confusing; a field instrument is either intrinsically safe or flameproof – there is no such thing as being both intrinsically safe and flameproof.
When overall explosion-proof certification is obtained, the explosion-proof measures are usually specified on the explosion-proof certificate. Sometimes there might even be more.
