RT, this arrangement is meant to prevent wind from carrying pollution to the downwind side. But I have a question now: does the side with the lowest frequency of wind exposure throughout the year correspond to the side with the highest frequency of wind exposure throughout the year?
This post was last edited by ylb913 on 2015-6-29 at 18:14. This is not necessarily the case; “the upwind side of the minimum wind frequency” is a more reasonable option. The upwind side of the minimum wind frequency is not necessarily the same direction as the downwind side of the maximum wind frequency. The downwind side of the highest wind frequency may be the upwind side of the second-highest wind frequency.

Just take a look at the local wind rose and you’ll understand
