Our company produces a product using aluminum trichloride as a catalyst; after the reaction is complete, aluminum trichloride is broken down with water, and the organic phase is separated. Has anything similar been done to the remaining aqueous layer?
I don’t know about the COD; are there any other substances? It can be used directly as a water treatment agent.
It can be detected by COD; there is some dichloromethane in it, and once it evaporates due to heating, there should be nothing else left.
Can an aluminum chloride solution without organic substances be used to prepare flocculants?
It can be concentrated or dried to produce aluminum chloride solution, but the impurities must be removed first.
