Dear marine friends, in the current situation, the boiler industry is in a very poor state. Biomass boilers are somewhat viable, but the technical costs in China remain too high. Has anyone here seen biomass-fired boilers made by MA*THERM BOILERS? Do you have their drawings?

I’m also familiar with the domestic technologies. Small biomass boilers burn biomass pellets, while larger ones use waste materials such as wood scraps; these are heated using chain grates or inclined reciprocating grates. At a higher scale, there are fixed water-cooled grates as well as water-cooled vibrating grates. Such boilers can be built quite tall – the combustion issue is resolved in this way – but the cost is very high. This approach works for power plant users, but it’s not feasible for private customers. The Japanese have a technology similar to our coal-fired chain grate boilers, but it doesn’t burn fuel completely well, and there is a lot of ash buildup at the rear. The technology developed by MA*THERM comes from Australia; it has a low cost, making it suitable for small users. You don’t even need blueprints for it – have you seen it before?
