Around the time of my son’s middle school entrance exams, my dad’s job

This year my son is taking the high school entrance exam. Two months before that exam, I stopped working and devoted all my time to helping him prepare for it – cooking for him every day and checking his studies. The most important thing was to ensure that he enjoyed studying; seeing him work so hard every day really broke my heart as a father. The high school entrance exams finally ended on June 17th; I spent two days enjoying time with him, but then I started worrying about his test results. After the exam results were released on June 26th, and they weren’t as good as hoped, I started visiting various schools to see which high schools he might be eligible to attend. Yesterday, I finally completed the voluntary application process for high school; from the moment I submitted that application, I began waiting for an admission decision from a high school. This waiting period is really long! Hope to hear news soon. How tender are the hearts of parents everywhere!
Not going to work? Is it the kind where you don’t have to go to work but still get paid?
I take time off for myself, but my son’s exams are more important.
A good father? I’m far from being that competent......
I hope the child can understand this effort.
I think you did the right thing; the child got into a good school, saving tuition fees that amount to more than two or three months’ salary.
Parents everywhere have such loving hearts; he truly is a dedicated father.
I’m usually very busy too, but my son has exams, and his matters are the most important. I hope he can truly understand what his dad is thinking. Children these days have very good living conditions; they don’t understand the hardships of making money. I hope he will grow up to be sensible sooner, so that we won’t have to work so hard.
Don’t be too good to your son. The son should be made aware of the joys and sorrows of life; once he enters society, he will understand more and become more responsible.
It would be good if he were sensible now; the parents can do nothing and must take him for walks
Raise sons in poverty and daughters in wealth; everyone may have their own ways of raising children. You really seem like a good father. Compared to you, I grew up with my father being rather permissive with me – how painful is that~
