Yesterday, I encountered problems while installing Anspen 8.6. The installation of Net Framework 4.5 and SQL went smoothly, and during the installation options stage I only selected PLUS and HYSYS; yet an error kept appearing, stating “Internet Information Services 6 compatibility components”. The issue has been resolved for your reference. 1. Open the Control Panel and locate “Programs and Features”; click on it. 2. Click on “Turn Windows features on or off” on the left side. 3. Find “Internet Information Services” and select all the options related to it. 4. Return to the Control Panel, find Administrative Tools, and double-click on “Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager”. OK.
Win7 desktop with 4GB of RAM. Adjusting the example is very slow, and its execution is also slow – what’s the reason?
I previously installed version 8.0, and it was also slow. At that time, I thought it was mainly a hardware issue with the laptop; my CPU was an i7 4710M with 8GB of memory, but the hard drive was of the 5400+ type. After the warranty period ended, I planned to install a solid-state drive, which should significantly improve the speed. Now, after installing 8.6, calling functions such as FCC and CCR is faster than before; it’s probably due to software optimization. I think it can be considered from two aspects. First, the software issue – whether the version is not very good. Second, hardware issues: with ASPEN8.0+, I think it is necessary to consider CPU, memory, and hard drive.
Just open IIS in the Control Panel.

I want to install Aspen8.6, but the files do not contain those two files, so I need to install them myself. I don’t know how to install it; please help. The computer already has Microsoft .NET Framework NGEN v2.0.50727_X64 installed; is it still necessary to download NET FRAMEWORK? I seek guidance. .
These installation sources are included in the installation package, located within the 3rd Party Redistributables folder.
