How to deal with air leakage in the valves of a reciprocating compressor – it’s easy to figure out
It’s impossible to tell; I don’t know of anyone I know who can determine whether a valve is leaking or not. The online detection of valve leaks relies mainly on temperature and pressure readings – for example, if the suction or exhaust pressure rises or falls abnormally, or if the temperatures related to suction and exhaust change significantly. These factors are used to determine whether there is a leak in the valve. A stethoscope or listening rod can be used to check whether the air valve is properly secured, whether there is any damage to the valve body and its components, or whether the piston is scraping against the cylinder wall.
It’s generally hard to tell by ear; it can be determined through indicators.
The noise at the scene is so loud; it’s probably impossible to hear it, right? It’s still better to judge based on the operating parameters!
Generally, intake and exhaust temperatures are used for judgment.
The main indicators for determining air valve leakage are fluctuations in temperature and pressure. If one really has to use a listening tool to check for air leaks, it depends on one’s own experience; there are things that can only be understood intuitively and not put into words, you know what I mean!
It depends on how severe the leakage is. If the leakage is severe, it can be detected; if it’s not that severe, then parameters have to be used for analysis
It is generally used to measure temperature; either too high intake temperature or too low exhaust temperature is caused by air leakage in the valves
Judging from the pressure, the pressure in the front section increases while that in the rear section decreases; Judging from temperature, the temperature of a faulty valve will be significantly higher than that of a normal valve. As for sound, especially with slightly damaged valves, there will be obvious abnormal noises (hissing sounds). Of course, whether such noises can be detected also depends on an individual’s experience; to determine whether a valve is damaged or normal, it’s necessary to listen to them several times and compare carefully.
