What are the problems encountered in production practice? Are you involved in the production of epoxy resins?
During the production process, we encounter problems with poor separation of the refined liquids; the resin becomes emulsified and contains water, and the layering process is particularly slow. Let’s all discuss the reasons for this phenomenon
1. Is the amount of solvent insufficient?; 2. What catalyst is used, and is the amount accurate? ; 3. Was the stirring time set too long? ; 4. Is the temperature of the washing water too high?
The mass ratio of our solvent to resin is approximately 1:1.3–1.4. The catalyst used is benzyltriethylammonium chloride; for a dosage of 9000 kg of bisphenol, the amount of catalyst required is 7.5 kg. The washing is carried out at a temperature of 80 degrees, with stirring at a frequency of 70, and the stirring lasts for 5 minutes. What’s it like where you are? Should we look for the reasons in the pre-reaction and the reaction?
Benzyl is used as a catalyst, and it has an emulsifying effect; therefore, its dosage is quite important. For 9,000 kg of bisphenol A refining catalyst, 5–6 kg of benzyl is used.
If the amount added is small, could the hydrolyzed chlorine level be high? If you add 5-6 kg, what level can the hydrolyzed chlorine reach?
