What is the connection method for the rod float level switch? Are there anything else besides flanges and threads? What is the difference between the two?
Try to avoid using threaded connections, as rust can cause them to stick together and become impossible to remove.

They are mostly flange-type, making installation and replacement very convenient.
There’s no need to worry too much about the connection method; these days, for connecting instruments and devices to pipes, there are other better options besides flange connections. As far as level switches are concerned, there are wall-mounted types as well as contactless types. I’ve seen such products before but haven’t used them, so I can’t afford to make any judgments about their performance.
Threads, flanges, and the method of mounting brackets – the so-called bracket mounting involves fixing a seven-shaped bracket on the pipe wall, and then using U-clips to secure the linkage-type level switch to that bracket; this connection method is suitable for open tanks.
What is being referred to is a float level switch, not a top-mounted float level transmitter!
Install open tanks and pools using brackets. For the rest, flanges and threads are used, depending on the site requirements. Sometimes, the storage tanks at the customer’s site may only have threaded holes, or the existing flange openings may be too small to accommodate the outer diameter of the float, right? So, the on-site needs should still be taken as the guiding principle.
