The number of theoretical plates required for the simulation is 7 – more than 8 plates result in abnormal temperatures, while fewer than 6 plates lead to components not meeting the specified standards. I am using perforated corrugated packing; the data provided for this material indicates 3 plates per meter. Based on these figures, the packing height should not be very high, yet in reality 11 meters of packing was used (9 meters were not sufficient, so it had to be increased to 11 meters).
