Regarding the issue of unloading hazardous materials

I have a question for everyone: in our tank area, hazardous materials are unloaded, and after the unloading is complete, a low liquid level triggers the start of a pump via a interlock system. However, at this point, there is usually still a portion of material remaining in the pipe leading from the discharge pipe to the pump’s inlet. Our current approach is for staff to lift the pipe and then start the discharge pump in intermittent mode. Suck up all the leftover material. But this relies too much on experience; running the pump for long periods of time will reduce its lifespan. Do anyone have any good methods for dealing with the residual material in these pipes?
Connect the nitrogen line, and after completion, use nitrogen to push it into the tank.
I do not recommend your approach; it causes significant damage to the pump. Personally, I recommend installing a small metering pump for back pumping.
