Give examples of applications for reverse transmitters?
I just saw that you posted a question titled: \"When installing an FC differential pressure transmitter, the high-pressure and low-pressure pipes were connected in reverse by mistake – what should be done?\" >, and now I see you posting this again. If it’s really reversed, just go ahead and fix it properly; why be clever in such a situation?
Many transmitters these days support reverse output; there are no special requirements in any particular situation – it’s simply to facilitate user use, in cases such as when the connection is reversed. However, such instruments require setting, and if the settings are not correct, it’s still not good. So the original poster had better honestly fix the piping; P
If the liquid level measurement is connected in reverse, as the liquid level rises—the differential pressure decreases—thus the current becomes smaller, and the DCS display shows a lower value. Therefore, the current output must be reversed. The two people upstairs have some excellent advice. It is not recommended to do this, as it will confuse the maintenance staff; simply turn the transmitter 180 degrees and reconnect it, and that’s it. Just like with locators, it’s better to reverse within the system rather than at the locator (except for special reasons). @jiaguoyun
