On July 7, 2015, Guanghui Energy issued a announcement stating that the company had signed strategic cooperation agreements with the government of Honggu District in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, as well as with ** in Guazhou County. The specific details include: **in Honggu District will take the lead, with Guanghui Energy and Lanzhou Investment (Holding) Co., Ltd. working together to develop a project for the comprehensive utilization of 10 million tons of coal through differentiated processing in Honggu District. In addition, to promote the economic development of Guazhou County in Gansu Province, Guanghui Energy plans to build a project for the clean and efficient utilization of coal with an annual capacity of 10 million tons in that county.
Guanghui and Jiugang Group are jointly building a project in Jiayuguan for the differentiated processing of 1.5 million tons per year of coal, as well as the hydrogenation and refining of 500,000 tons per year of coal tar; the main contractor for this project is MCC Coking & Refractory.
