For simple irrigation areas where only display and alarm functions are required, is it possible to avoid using a PLC cabinet and instead connect the signals output by the transmitters directly to a display with alarm functionality?

You can choose an indicator gauge to use; the question is where you want to display the alarms. If it’s on-site, it needs to be placed inside an explosion-proof box, with a safety barrier installed within that box as well. If it is placed in the control room, a wall-mounted control box can be made, and a safety barrier should also be installed.
I’m not entirely sure if it’s possible; it’s difficult. If the measurement values exceed the limits, the instrument usually still displays normal values locally. Only when the values go beyond the range will an alarm be sent back.
Of course, just as with the previous rack-mounted systems, create a dashboard, use a safety barrier, an alarm setter, and display panels; decide whether you need lights or horns for alerts.
