What control methods are used for regulating the liquid level in the pre-vapor-liquid separator tank of reciprocating compressors? What is the more advanced technology for controlling liquid levels nowadays?
Generally, even if automatic control is available for that section, it will be switched to manual mode; liquid removal usually takes place once a day~~~~
Generally, there is little liquid present; an alarm for the presence of liquid is crucial to prevent sudden leaks. Single-loop control is usually sufficient for this purpose. I don’t use automatic mode, as I’m concerned about hydrogen waste – instead, technicians check it and release the liquid once during working days. If there is indeed a large amount of liquid, it is recommended to set up automatic liquid cutting.
