As the title suggests, I’m seeking advice: when selecting a valve for a 400-diameter pipeline, the PID diagram shows a manual ball valve. I’m wondering whether it’s possible to operate such a ball valve manually at a 400-diameter scale Because it was already very difficult to open manually when debugging the 200-caliber model before. Is it better to switch to a butterfly valve, or should a longer lever be used for the actuation mechanism of the ball valve?
All 400 ball valves with manual operation use turbines, allowing for very smooth opening and closing; your 200 model probably has a handle, which definitely makes it difficult to operate
By the turbine you mentioned, do you mean something that is activated by turning a circular wheel (like a steering wheel)? 200 is for the handle!

Just add a turbine – it’s very simple. It just needs to rotate quite a few times
400 definitely requires a turbo drive; otherwise, the extension rod will also be very difficult to use
