How to weld metal rings

Take a round copper strip with a diameter of 2 mm and bend it into a ring. What are some good ways to weld the joints together to create a closed ring?
Forge welding, TIG welding of red copper, gas welding and brazing of brass
Use explosion welding; this is commonly done in electrical applications
It’s not so much about which specific welding method to use; in my opinion, the most important thing is to prepare proper bevels at both ends of the joint. The ends are ground into a conical shape or the shape of a flathead screwdriver.
