What is the difference between transmitters using dimethyl oil and those using silicone oil? What are the differences in usage? Thank you
Typical filling fluids include Dow Corning 200 (standard) or 704 (high-temperature) dimethyl siloxanes from the United States, as well as halogenated hydrocarbons (inert substances); Dow XLT dimethyl siloxane for low-temperature applications; glycerin and water; propanediol and water; and Stepan propylene glycol dioctanoate/didecanoate (for food and hygiene applications). Among these, DC200, DC704, and Syltherm® XLT are all polydimethylsiloxanes (dimethyl siloxanes)!
What you’re referring to must be some kind of substance; dimethylsilicone is the scientific name for silicone, just as silica glass is similar to ordinary glass
