Before putting the temperature and pressure reduction device into operation, the circuit valves and stop valves (numbers 8 and 12) should be in the closed position. The pipeline ahead of the circuit valve (number 12) needs to be flushed thoroughly; after flushing, the pressure reduction valve (number 3) should be opened by 10-20%; 2. Open the hydrophobic valve (number 14), then turn on the desuperheating water valve (number 8) to check whether the desuperheating system is functioning properly ; 3. After the inspection is complete, proceed with piping heating. First, open the on/off valve (number 12) to preheat the entire system using steam at a pressure not exceeding 0.0196–0.049 MPa; the preheating time should be no less than 30 minutes (other heat sources may also be used for preheating). After preheating, gradually open the on/off valve (number 12) while increasing the pressure at a rate of 0.098–0.147 MPa per minute. The drain valve (number 14) should be closed gradually. At the same time, manually operate the DKJ actuator to open all throttle valves, thereby enabling the pressure relief valve and water supply distribution valves (or control valves) to ensure that the parameters of the outlet steam rise steadily and remain within the specified range.4. When the pressure reaches 75% of the opening pressure value of the safety valve, the safety valve handle (for spring-loaded safety valves) can be used to open the valve. The opening degree should be 1/4d, where d is the diameter of the safety valve’s throat, in order to allow steam to be released. Any debris inside the safety valve should also be removed. Once the predetermined opening pressure is reached, the safety valve should be adjusted accordingly. For impulse-type safety valves, when the pressure reaches 50% of the rated opening pressure, lift the lever of the impulse-type safety valve (number 5) by hand to check the flexibility and sealing performance of the main safety valve. The safety valve should then be adjusted again when the specified pressure is reached (in accordance with the pressure monitoring regulations). Please refer to the instruction manual ; 5. At the rated pressure, the steam traps (numbers 13 and 15) should also be activated, and the stop valves (number 14) should be closed. Once steam drainage and adjustment are completed, automatic control can be enabled. For the installation, calibration, operation, and maintenance of the automatic control equipment, please refer to the instructions provided for that equipment ; 6. When the steam flow rate at the inlet of the temperature and pressure reduction unit decreases, the throttle valve (number 7) located at the inlet of the cooling water should be gradually closed to increase the resistance loss. 7. This unit requires regular inspection; worn-out components such as pressure reduction valves, feed water distribution valves, control valves, globe valves, check valves, throttle valves, as well as their valve discs, seatings, and bushings, should be repaired or replaced promptly. Failure to do so can lead to leaks and vibrations in the equipment, as well as increased noise levels during operation ; 8. The cooling water nozzles of the temperature reducer must remain unobstructed, as there is usually only one hole at their outlet. If these holes become blocked, the cooling water will not be able to flow out or the flow rate will decrease, which can affect the cooling effect, damage the thermometer, and harm the thermal equipment. Therefore, once a blockage is detected during operation, the system must be stopped immediately so that it can be repaired ; 9. The electric actuators installed in various types of valves shall be calibrated in strict accordance with the installation, calibration, and operation instructions provided by the manufacturer of those electric actuators. When using, maintaining, and installing temperature and pressure reduction devices, they must be stored properly upon arrival; care must be taken to prevent moisture from causing rusting, as well as to avoid any foreign objects from entering the device ; 1. The spring-type safety valve is preset to the specified operating pressure at the time of manufacture and is sealed with lead, so it can be installed directly without disassembly ; 2. Impulse-type safety valves, pressure reducing valves, feed water distribution valves or control valves, check valves, globe valves, and throttle valves must be disassembled on site; the anti-rust oil must be removed, packing must be installed, and the packing gland must be tightened. It is essential to ensure that the interior of the valves is completely clean (30% of valve failures are caused by dirt inside the valves). All connection pipes, pressure gauge connections, temperature reducers, and steam pipes must also be kept clean. If the valve user requests installation without disassembly, our company will carry out the assembly without taking the valve apart; once the valve arrives at the site, it can be installed directly without disassembly ; 3. Before installation, the pipes of the temperature reducer must be kept clean; the water injection nozzles for cooling must not be blocked. These nozzles have a small diameter, making them prone to being clogged by foreign objects. If the nozzles become blocked, it can lead to poor operating conditions, and in severe cases, overheating and pipe rupture may occur, posing a risk to human safety and equipment integrity
