Our total ammonium content in crude salt is kept below 0.05%
With such high control of raw salt, can the total ammonium level in the brine fed into the tank be kept below 4 mg/L? What kind of ammonium removal methods were used?
Well, there’s nothing to do about it – that’s just the quality of the salt. We use ammonia removal towers in our potassium alkali production process; however, when air is introduced under pressure into the dissolved gas tank, the amount of ammonia is significantly reduced. It’s still pretty acceptable
