Is volumetric flow rate related to pressure? Still related to gases, unrelated to liquids
Gases certainly play a role; liquids basically have no effect, except in cases where gas formation or desorption occurs as a result of pressure reduction to a certain level.
Changes in the pressure and temperature of a liquid have little effect on its volume; therefore, changes in these parameters have little impact on the measurement of volumetric flow rate. In contrast, changes in the pressure and temperature of a gas result in significant changes in its volume. Hence, to accurately measure the volumetric flow rate of gases, it is necessary to perform pressure and temperature compensation.
