The day before yesterday, a centrifugal air compressor exhibited a certain phenomenon: the displacement sensor on the high-speed shaft of the speed increase gear indicated a sudden change in displacement, accompanied by an increase in the temperature of one of the thrust bearings by 2–3 degrees. The displacement value changed from -0.114 mm to -0.137 mm, and the pressure difference at the compressor’s inlet decreased slightly. No adjustments were made during this period, and the oil temperature and pressure were normal. Somehow? Air compressor, with a rotation speed of around 7600 r/min

There are two issues that need to be clarified by you: 1. Where is the 0-position for your shaft displacement? 2. Has there been any change in the pressure difference between import and export?
Is the speed increaser a gearbox? Is it driven by an electric motor or a steam engine? Is it related to the balance tube? If the displacement reading is normal, it confirms that the axial thrust plate has indeed moved closer; has there been any change in flow rate?
Was the change in compression volume observed simultaneously? Axial displacement is accompanied by an increase in the temperature of the thrust shaft~~Let’s keep an eye on it; 1–2 degrees is still considered normal~~
This post was last edited by Wang Shui on 2015-7-28 at 10:28. It is a gearbox driven by a motor; exhaust gas is released directly into the atmosphere on one side of the balance disk, so it is not possible to measure the amount of exhaust gas, and the flow rate is slightly reduced
Checking the DCS data shows that all operations have historical records
Bit 0 should be driven primarily; the exhaust pressure decreases slightly, by about 1 kPa. Even when we adjust the load by 5 kPa in normal operations, there is no change in displacement
The DCS has historical operation records showing no activities, with the oil pressure and oil temperature remaining constant
Does that inlet valve have a smiling motion? I suspect it’s caused by changes in flow rate; is it the compressor in the air separation unit?
