I have a question for everyone: Is the feedback wire of a 220AC electric valve live?
The return line is the position feedback line; the position feedback signal for electric valves is a 4~20mA DC signal.

First, determine whether the electric valve is a control valve or a on/off valve. If it is a control valve, it is divided into opening position feedback, full-open position feedback, and full-closed position feedback ； If it is a on/off valve, it is divided into feedback for full open position and feedback for full closed position. The opening degree feedback is analog, while the switch in-position feedback is digital.
As electric valves, they are quite intelligent these days. It can be adjusted; it can operate with or without electricity, but usually it operates without electricity, with power supplied from the DCS side, for safety reasons.
