Perhaps some people think I am trying to sell something; rather than selling equipment, I am actually spreading a new concept among everyone – on-site processing technology. Since it’s a discussion, one must speak without reservation. As is well known, the level of China’s machinery manufacturing industry is not very high; there is still a significant gap compared to industrially advanced countries around the world, such as Germany, the United States, and Japan. China is large in scale, but not highly sophisticated in terms of manufacturing quality. Anything that requires high-level technology has to be imported; foreign technology is brought in. I wonder if people will agree with this situation. China’s machinery industry not only has low manufacturing standards; even just in terms of materials, it is doomed to be unable to produce high-quality equipment. High temperature resistance, high pressure resistance, high precision. Perhaps only by creating highly advanced equipment can high-performance workpieces be manufactured. The failure rate of mechanical equipment in our country remains high, and the level of maintenance management is insufficient, which leads to an increased rate of equipment scrapping and severe waste. Has it prevented us from realizing the importance of maintenance? No, it’s because we lack experience in on-site repairs and better equipment. For example, when it comes to on-site processing, there are devices used in the petrochemical industry for planar milling of flanges, and similar equipment is also manufactured in China; their appearance is quite similar. Yet why is the quality of the repair and processing done with such equipment so significantly different from that of foreign-made devices? This is something that requires careful consideration.
