Which manufacturing process is most widely used in China at present? Is it Topsoe or Casali?
Among the ammonia synthesis plants currently in operation in China, the KBR process (including the original Kellogg process) is the most widely used.
Currently, the most widely used synthetic ammonia processes in China for new projects or those that have just been established are KBR, Cassali, and Topsoe; among these, Cassali is the most common. The Cassali process is well-established in the 30.52 project, while KBR is more frequently used than Topsoe. It seems that Topsoe uses its own KM-type catalysts.
Our company also uses Cassali technology! I’d really like to hear about the strengths and weaknesses of each of these technologies!
China’s large-scale ammonia synthesis technology is already mature, on par with that of international giants; companies such as Guochang Chemical, Jutuo Chemical, and Anchun Chemical are all quite good.
