【Weekly Topic】Discussion on permanent magnet speed control (third week of August)

A few days ago I saw a post on a forum about permanent magnet speed control, and in my work I’ve also encountered people promoting this technology. I don’t know much about permanent magnet speed control, but based on what the manufacturers suggest, it seems suitable for situations where there is significant vibration, where the main equipment needs to operate stably, and where the motor experiences vibrations. It’s not very suitable for large, high-power devices, however. I wonder what the other sailors think? This week’s topic: What do you think about permanent magnet speed control? Have you tried it?
