The air compressor at our company’s oxygen station is designed to handle an intake volume of 540 cubic meters per minute, but currently the actual intake volume is only around 380 cubic meters, with the guide vanes set at 85% opening and the intake pressure at 0.5 MPa. (The designed capacity is 4500 cubic meters of oxygen and 2200 cubic meters of nitrogen.) At present, the oxygen production volume is 4380 cubic meters. We would appreciate guidance from experts on how to increase the air compressor’s intake volume
Is there an online impeller cleaning system? If not, it is recommended to take the opportunity to shut down the machine and manually clean the impeller and vanes. During the hot summer months, the air density is low, so it’s normal for the compression volume to be low. Additionally, dust accumulation on the impeller can lead to a decrease in compression efficiency~

An exhaust pressure of 0.5 MPA is normal; in other words, the system is not able to handle a sufficient volume of air. Also, check the maximum air processing capacity of your air-cooled tower and molecular sieve – the compressor should be designed with a higher capacity. Additionally, the 2,200 cubic meters of nitrogen is compressed nitrogen; the amount of nitrogen coming out of the tower is much higher than that.
Lower the temperature of the cooling circulating water and clean the air intake filter.
