It’s a vaporization-chilled water pump; the pump operates at pressures of 40 kilograms and 65 kilograms. At a system pressure of 40 kilograms, there are no abnormal noises from the bearing pump body and its operation is smooth. However, at a system pressure of 65 kilograms, there are significant noises coming from the bearings. Could you help analyze the reason for this?

There is no cavitation; it doesn’t work at 65 kilograms, but it works fine at 40 kilograms. When there is heavy vibration, the oil in the bearing housing changes color quickly.
This is a bit strange – 40 kilograms is considered normal, while 60 kilograms causes vibration. Changes in pressure result in changes in axial force on the external components of the pump. I doubt that such axial forces can be severe enough to affect the operation of the bearings in the bearing housing. Firstly, an increase in load usually does not cause vibration; secondly, the bearing capacity is designed to be very high when the pump is manufactured, so it’s unlikely that the actual forces will reach that level. But from the poster’s description, it is clear that the bearing was vibrating, and moreover, the oil film was unstable. So it can only be guessed that the bearing at the bearing end is defective; under heavy loads the oil film becomes unstable. It is recommended to replace the bearing at the motor end and see what happens.
