The 250,000 tons per year styrene project of Xinyang Technology Group Co., Ltd. adopts the ethylbenzene/styrene production process package from Changzhou Ruihua. The preliminary design was carried out by the Fushun Branch of China National Petroleum Corporation Engineering Design Co., Ltd., while China National Chemical Engineering Third Construction Company was responsible for equipment installation. The facility covers an area of 80 mu, with an investment of approximately 370 million yuan. In August 2009, this project completed the safety assessment for Xinyang Technology Group Co., Ltd.’s 250,000 tons per year styrene production facility. Construction began on January 23, 2010; the rectification work required by the \"three inspections and four determinations\" was completed on June 10, 2011. The facility was ready for trial production on June 15, 2011, and the full production process was operational by July 22, 2011, enabling the production of high-quality styrene products. The styrene plant underwent its first major maintenance in October 2012, which involved the renovation of the two styrene distillation towers. The maintenance was completed in mid-November 2012, and the plant was started up successfully on the first attempt. As a result of these renovations, the plant’s production capacity now exceeds 300,000 tons per year.
