Under what circumstances is forced reflux used in a typical bottom reboiler, and what are the advantages of forced reflux over ordinary reflux?
Forced reboiling is generally used in reboilers located at the bottom of a tower where the viscosity of the material there is relatively high; its purpose is mainly to improve the flowability of the material within the reboiler and to ensure an adequate amount of reboiling.
