Which units have experienced overpressure in the cyclohydrogen desulfurization tower? What are the precursors and symptoms that occur before such overpressure? The theoretical reasons behind foaming are quite clear; I would like to analyze which parameters can indicate a risk of flooding in the desulfurization tower. For example, fluctuations in liquid level, imbalances in the flow rates of rich and lean liquids which lead to a decrease in the rich liquid volume, an increase in the pressure difference across the desulfurization tower, an increase in the temperature of the recycled hydrogen, and a decrease in the temperature of the rich liquid.
To explain my view, foaming and tower flushing seem to be different things. Foaming means foaming; it can’t be called tower flooding, right? Reasons for foaming: 1. Problems with the filtration in the amine solution regeneration unit; the amine solution is dirty. 2. The temperature of the amine solution is too low. 3. Insufficient or excessive amount of defoamer was injected. The most obvious signs of foaming are an increase in the pressure difference in the desulfurization tower, fluctuations in liquid level, and a very rapid rise in the liquid level in the liquid separation tank at the inlet of the hydrogen circulation pump!
