Second, check whether the outlet connection is causing an increase in outlet pressure. I’ve encountered similar situations before: within a low flow rate range, the flow rate remains stable for some time; however, in a reactor connected to the outlet, the pressure inside the reactor increases over time, leading to inaccurate measurement. As a result, it becomes necessary to adjust the flow rate, which in turn causes the membrane to get damaged
A diaphragm metering pump works by using a crosshead to push the hydraulic fluid inside the cylinder, causing the diaphragm to move back and forth and thus pumping liquid in and out. When you are in operation and set the control wheel to the maximum position, it is likely that the high reciprocating frequency is causing the diaphragm to deform.
1. Blockage in the inhalation pipeline, including the pipes, filters, inlet valve ball, valve seat, etc.; in particular, check whether the valve ball is stuck in the valve seat and confirm this. 2. Whether the diaphragm is aging, and whether the medium temperature is too high, exceeding the operating temperature of the diaphragm. 3. Process operation: Whether the exhaust from the outlet filling pump is thorough. 4. Operate at a slow pace during movement to minimize impact. 5. Check for the cause from a maintenance perspective: whether the diaphragm return oil pipeline is unobstructed, whether the oil ports are blocked, whether the piston stroke adjustment is correct, and the condition of the pump’s safety valve, among other things.
