Which companies in the industry use primary crushing for calcium carbide crushing?
Is it crushed to the particle size for generator feeding in one step? Haven’t heard of it
What we adopted first was this approach, as it could save a lot of money; however, it requires high standards from the crushers. Later, we heard that many manufacturers also changed their approach, and we wanted to see what problems arose during the operation of those modified units.
Primary crushing is not effective; calcium carbide is repeatedly ground in the crusher, which generates a lot of dust. This leads to high waste of calcium carbide, increased power consumption by the machine. Although costs associated with investment are reduced, operating expenses rise, and the large amount of dust poses a risk to safety and environmental protection.
The requirements for the equipment are too high, and power consumption is excessive; secondary crushing is mostly used.
The particle size of the material in a single-stage crushing process is too large, which is not conducive to the operation of the generator.
