Where do people think it is appropriate to install the guide supports or guides on the pipe tray? It can be explained in two categories: the first category consists of pipelines subject to high-temperature thermal expansion stress, while the second category includes pipelines at normal temperatures; these are used solely to prevent the pipelines from shaking due to the flow of material and thus causing damage to adjacent pipelines during the initial stage of operation. High-temperature pipelines have their support or hanger positions determined through stress calculations, but during actual operation on site, the set positions of these supports may sometimes be inappropriate. Guides are installed in pipelines at normal temperatures; some are placed at the bends in the pipe rack, while others are installed in the middle sections of straight sections of the pipe rack. What are the differences between these installations, and what are the advantages of each?
On the pipe tray, aren’t there support brackets everywhere? The difference lies in whether the sliding pipe support has a limiting function.
The guide features a limit function; what are the requirements for its installation position?
For the bridges and pipelines between offshore modules that I have worked on, pipe supports are used; I’m not sure about the exact way to set them up.
