As the title suggests, our company needs to install a hydrogenation unit. Since a large amount of hydrogen is present at the vent ports and must be released after hydrogenation, we would appreciate your advice. Thank you.
The hydrogenation unit’s equipment vents a large amount of hydrogen – is there something strange about that? ?
Nitrogen is used for dilution during venting, but for safety reasons it should still be designed for pure hydrogen
It catches fire easily, so one needs to think carefully about the plan
If the quantity is large, a flare should be used for discharge; if the quantity is small, there is no need to consider lightning protection issues, but this should be taken into account in the overall design of the installation.
