This mainly depends on the material of the acid pump chosen by your company. If it is a metal pump, caution is needed, as the corrosivity increases when the concentration of sulfuric acid decreases; If it is a fluorine-lined pump, then there will be no problem ; It is also best to choose acid pumps that are seal-free and do not cause any leakage, as concentrated sulfuric acid has water-absorbing properties. The acid that leaks from ordinary mechanically-sealed pumps will absorb water, turning into dilute sulfuric acid and increasing its corrosiveness.
A fluorine-lined magnetic pump should be chosen; however, it depends on the flow rate you need. Whether it’s an imported or domestic fluorine-lined magnetic pump, its maximum power output is 45 kW, with a flow rate of around 200 liters per minute – any higher than that isn’t possible. You need to check whether this is sufficient for your needs. Moreover, when handling sulfuric acid, it’s necessary to modify the impeller, otherwise the pump may experience overload.
