In pressure gauges, what is a gauge pressure gauge and what is a absolute pressure gauge? How can they be distinguished? What is their definition?

What are absolute pressure and gauge pressure? The actual pressure of the working fluid itself inside the container is called absolute pressure, denoted by the symbol p. The difference between the absolute pressure of the working fluid and the atmospheric pressure is the gauge pressure, denoted by the symbol pg. Therefore, gauge pressure is the pressure that we measure using a gauge, while atmospheric pressure is denoted by the symbol patm. The relationship between absolute pressure and gauge pressure is: pa = pg + p_atm or pg = pa – p_atm
In simple terms, a gauge pressure meter can measure both positive and negative pressures
Unless otherwise specified as measuring absolute pressure, pressure gauges all measure gauge pressure.

What I want to know is how to maintain a gauge pressure meter, specifically when the pointer is not at the bottom of the scale at the time of manufacture.
