Causes and symptoms of scaling in downcomer and riser loops, how to identify them, and how to prevent the progression of this phenomenon
In my opinion, this is mainly due to the poor quality of your water; the flocculants and dispersants were not used effectively together, resulting in a high concentration of suspended solids in the water. This leads to scaling in the gaps between the downcomer and the upcomer. Once scaling occurs, the area of the gas flow channels decreases and the flow velocity increases, which makes it easier for water to enter the gasification furnace. In the past, we were able to dislodge some of these scale deposits by adjusting the pressure.
By appropriately reducing the pressure, it’s possible to remove the scale particles; the water quality is still good at the moment
