The equipment of this device is equipped with two safety valves – are both of them necessary to be in use? What type of equipment is fitted with two safety valves? Thank you
Current designs feature dual safety valves, allowing one unit to be taken out of service at any time to maintain a constant pressure (this is required once a year). We all went live at the same time.
The inspection cost for safety valves is twice as high, and errors are likely to occur; is it possible to install only one?
It depends on how it is designed; it’s best to consult the design team rather than making decisions arbitrarily

This is mainly related to the medium used in the equipment. For relatively dangerous media, two safety valves are installed, with different setting pressures – one higher and the other lower. This is done to ensure that if one valve fails, the other can still protect the equipment; therefore, they cannot be removed casually
Where it is not convenient to calibrate safety valves, a dual safety valve system can be used; in areas where safety valves tend to fail, a dual-valve setup is also an option. Generally, the two valves serve as backups for each other and are controlled by a selector valve; of course, it is also possible to use both at the same time (though this is not common)~~
Low-temperature liquid storage tanks and vessels are equipped with dual safety valves, as the vaporization rate is extremely high in the event of a liquid leak, resulting in an expansion factor of 500 times; if one valve fails, the other can still be used.
If it is one in use and one as a backup, only one unit needs to be operational; however, it still needs to be inspected even when not in use.
