The purposes of meetings vary greatly, but they generally revolve around these three points: conveying the spirit of documents (the company’s or management’s plans)； Solve practical problems ； Assign tasks. During the project implementation phase, meetings are inevitable, but there are varying opinions regarding their duration and frequency. So, do you like long meetings? Especially those meetings where the leader keeps asking questions of one particular person or specialist, with everyone else forced to sit there and listen.
Anyway, I don’t like long meetings; if there’s something to discuss, let’s discuss it, and if not, let’s end the meeting. Before the meeting, there is a rough agenda and estimated time; items that only a few people are involved in or aware of will be asked about separately after the meeting.
This is true for those who attend meetings; as for those who chair them, they aim to reach a consensus or common goal, and try to hold as few meetings as possible
When there are arguments among everyone, the meeting lasts longer. But what’s the point when you encounter a boss who insists on getting to the bottom of things, demanding clear answers before starting a discussion, with everyone else staying silent and only a few people talking?
Sometimes you have to admit that this is a way of addressing the problem head-on

What could there be to discuss in a leadership meeting? You can just announce whatever decisions have already been made
I definitely don’t like it. . It’s purely to be there for the meeting. . . Have you seen this before? Work ends at 5:30, but at 5 o’clock they say let’s hold a meeting, and then there’s all kinds of nonsense – no real business at all. By 6 o’clock, they say the meeting is over and everyone can go home early. . .
No one likes long meetings, right? Meetings are essentially meant to bring opinions together; what’s the point of arguing again during them?
It still depends on the content and purpose of the meeting; if there are multiple speakers who deliver meaningful contributions, then the length isn’t a problem.
What I hate are weekly meetings; they can last as short as 20 minutes or as long as 3 hours.
