Since the factory where I work is located in a remote area, the company provided each employee with a single-room dormitory (with two beds). A friend of mine needed to carry out some renovation work at our factory, and the project was expected to last around 2 months. To help him out, I allowed him to stay in my dormitory temporarily; I would go home to sleep at night, while he would take naps in the dormitory during the day. But his colleagues often come to my dormitory when I’m not home. Sometimes several of them drink there, and they even smoke on my bed, leaving it in a mess. This really bothers me. I don’t know how to deal with this situation; I hope friends can suggest some solutions. After all, we’ve been friends for over 10 years, and I don’t want our relationship to suffer because of this.
If it were me, I wouldn’t care; after all, friendship is important. Or you can tidy it up yourself; after a few times, they’ll realize on their own that they shouldn’t mess it up
It’s really hard to say about such people; those with poor character don’t think what they do is excessive. If it were me, I would definitely speak up straight away
Since we’ve been friends for over a decade, we can have an honest conversation and let him know your thoughts and opinions. I’m sure he will respect your wishes; otherwise, he doesn’t deserve to be called a friend.
Every day, strangers lie in your bed and smoke – don’t you really care about that? It seems that President Ming is truly generous.
My friend has already sensed my displeasure, but he’s also struggling to find a way to persuade those people not to come; the problem is that they aren’t aware of it. I’ve already told my friend Ming that I need to rest in the dormitory these next two nights. But after having dinner outside and returning after 8:30 p.m., I still found 4 phones on the bed, downloading movies. The person went to take a shower; it goes without saying what would happen if I weren’t there when they returned.
I have already made my feelings clear to my friend, and he agrees with me. However, he’s also struggling to find a way to persuade those people not to come, as the problem is that they aren’t aware of it themselves. I already told my friend Ming that I would be resting in the dormitory those two nights. But after having dinner outside and returning after 8:30 p.m., I still found 4 phones on the bed, downloading movies. I went to take a shower, and when they came back, they also left with their phones. Later, I heard from a colleague next door that he saw four people sitting at the stairway, probably using the internet to continue downloading movies. Looking back on it, was it my mistake for doing that, or were those people just insensitive?
For those who are not self-aware, they need to learn how to say no, to have the strength to refuse; otherwise, they should not insist on their own opinions.
Try sticking a \"Do Not Enter\" sign on the door
A friend of a friend isn’t your friend anyway. Besides, if your friend gets angry, I think… you know what I mean
1. If it’s the opposite sex, I guess the original poster must be secretly happy or imagining having romantic luck. 2. If they are of the same sex, given the long-standing relationship mentioned by the original poster, 10 yuan is enough to buy a piece of plastic sheeting that can be laid on the bed before going to work.
